Halibut Greenland was founded in 2008, with the aim to establish fish processing facilities.
The key founders of the company were local fishermen who wanted change in their conditions
as fishermen. In 2010 the fish plant in Ilulissat started producing halibut. Today the factory takes
and produces greenland halibut and cod, landed by local fishermen.
Halibut Greenland desires to give fair prices to the fishermen. In addition we seek to show respect to
the suppliers and customers and in general a service minded approach. The quality of our products is
our pride as well as we take pride in taking social responsibility in the communities in which we operate.
Halibut Greenland has a fish plant in Ilulissat , recently plans of establishing 2 other fish plants in
Upernavik area and Ikerasak are moving towards realization during 2018 and 2019.
